# Account Setup: Google Sign-in vs Guest Mode

Quietube is designed to respect your study time from the very moment you launch
the application. You can immediately begin studying without being forced to
create an account or provide personal credentials, or you can sign in with your
Google account for multi-device synchronization and permanent cloud backup.

GUEST MODE (INSTANT ANONYMOUS ACCESS)

If you prefer immediate distraction-free studying or want to test the app
without signing in, Guest Mode is active by default:

 * Zero Setup Time: Tap Skip & Continue on the welcome screen to enter the app
   instantly as an anonymous guest.
 * Local & Private Isolation: Quietube provisions a private session so your
custom marklists, revision scores, and focus stats are preserved during your
   study routine.
 * Full Feature Access: Guest users enjoy full access to Quiet Sessions, Gemini
AI study assistance, audible waveform seeking, and distraction blockers.

SIGNING IN WITH GOOGLE

Signing in with your Google account offers significant advantages for dedicated
students:

 * Cloud Sync & Backup: Your subject marklists, video notes, revision cards, and
earned XP are securely synced to your private cloud profile.
 * Multi-Device Persistence: Switch between your phone and tablet seamlessly
without losing bookmarks or study history.
 * Account Recovery: If you change or reset your device, signing back into
Google restores your entire study library instantly.

SWITCHING FROM GUEST MODE TO GOOGLE

If you begin your journey as a guest and later decide to sign in with Google,
Quietube protects your work. When an existing account switch is detected,
Quietube's account manager securely preserves your local bookmarks and merges
your data into your permanent profile.

MULTI-LANGUAGE SUPPORT

Quietube supports 12 global and regional languages (including English, Hindi,
Spanish, French, German, Japanese, and more). You can change your preferred
language at any time from the top language selector or your Profile Settings,
updating the entire interface dynamically.
