# How to Delete Your Account

At Quietube, we believe in complete data privacy and transparency. You have full
ownership and control over your personal data, and you can delete your account
and associated data at any time.


OPTION 1: IN-APP ACCOUNT DELETION

You can delete your account directly from within the Quietube mobile app with a
few simple steps:

 1. Open the Quietube app on your device.
 2. Open the side navigation menu or tap on your Profile icon.
 3. Go to Settings > Account & Privacy.
 4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
 5. Confirm your request when prompted.

Once confirmed, your account session will end, and your profile data will be
permanently removed.


OPTION 2: DELETE ACCOUNT VIA SUPPORT EMAIL

If you cannot access the app, have uninstalled it, or prefer our support team to
process your account deletion manually, you can send an email request:

 * Support Email: support@quietube.app [support@quietube.app]
 * Subject Line: Account Deletion Request - [Your Registered Email]
 * Details to Include: Please send the email from the Google account associated
   with your Quietube profile so we can verify account ownership.

Our support team will process your request and permanently delete your data
within 48 to 72 business hours, sending you a confirmation email once complete.


WHAT DATA IS DELETED?

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently purged from our
servers:

 * Profile & Authentication: Your user ID, display name, email, and
   authentication tokens.
 * Subject Marklists & Bookmarks: All custom folders, saved playlists, and
   lecture bookmarks.
 * Timestamped Notes: All private study notes and summaries taken while watching
   lectures.
 * Study History & Analytics: Focus minutes, reels blocked counter, study
   streaks, and accumulated XP points.


DATA RETENTION POLICY

We do not sell your personal data or retain user profile information after an
account deletion request has been finalized. Once deleted, this action is
irreversible and your study notes cannot be recovered.
