Long educational lectures often run for two to three hours. Finding the exact theorem, problem explanation, or derivation shouldn't require manual guessing. Quietube solves this with automated chapter parsing and synchronized timestamped notes.

Automatic Video Chapters

Quietube's timeline engine automatically extracts video chapter markers and timestamps from the lecture:

  • Interactive Chapter List: Tap the Chapters button below the player to view the complete topic outline with start times and topic titles.
  • One-Tap Seek: Tap any chapter in the outline to instantly jump the video player to that specific concept.
  • Active Chapter Indicator: The seekbar visually highlights the chapter you are currently watching so you always know where you are in the lecture.

Timestamped Video Notes

Taking notes while watching a lecture in Quietube automatically binds each thought to the exact second in the video:

  1. While watching a lecture, tap the Notes tab directly beneath the video player.
  2. Tap Add Note. Quietube automatically pre-fills your current playback timestamp (e.g., 14:32).
  3. Type your takeaway, formula summary, or reminder and tap Save.

Your notes are stored securely under your private study profile. When you review your notes days or weeks later, tapping the timestamp badge instantly opens the video and jumps directly to that second!
